There is an estimated of 2,000 Hmong living in the Seattle metro area proudly supports the NHGDC's mission to peacefully find a solution to the graves desecration issue in thailand. Some members of our community, having came from the Wat Tham Krabok, were directly affected by the graves desecration. As a community, we stand firm with the National Hmong Grave Desecration Committee and would like to see it achieve its mission. The Hmong Association of Washington, the only Hmong organization representing the Hmong in Washington, is also in full support of the NHGDC. The Washington Chapter consists of Yee Xiong (Chairman), Deacon Jouapa Yang (Vice-Chairman), Seng Vue (Secretary), Hua Thao (Treasurer), and Jaylie Xiong (Public Relations).

Yee Xiong, Chair

Chairman of Washington Chapter

Yee Xiong holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Seattle University and is currently employed as a systems engineer for an Avionics company in Redmond, WA.

In his spare time, Yee actively volunteers in various roles in the local Hmong community, with a focus on the youth. Yee is also the acting President of the Hmong Association of Washington and has been for 4 years.

Seng Vue, Secretary

Secretary of Washington ChapterSeng Vue holds an Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Degree from Oregon State University (OSU). He currently works as a Lean Engineer at Exotic Metals Forming Company in Kent WA. He enjoys working with the community and is the Vice-President of Hmong Association of Washington (HAW). He has also been the chair for the Seattle Hmong New Year for the past 2 years.
